Accomplishments

  1. Created the San Diego River Coalition which now numbers 70 organizations
  2. Helped write and pass legislation to form the San Diego River Conservancy
  3. Successfully created the 516 acre Eagle Peak Preserve
  4. In 2007, surpassed organizing and leading 10,000 volunteer hours of service
  5. Published Nico The Gnatcatcher and the Upside Down River which was researched, written, and illustrated by students from High Tech Middle School
  6. Led the effort to create a San Diego River Watershed Management Plan
  7. Project Manager for the San Diego River Park Conceptual Plan which is the guiding vision for the River Park
  8. Successfully received oversight responsibilities from the Point Loma Garden Club for the Point Loma Native Plant Garden
  9. In 2007 hosted the 4th annual San Diego River Days.which was created by the River Park Foundation in partnership with many organizations, sponsors, and public agencies to celebrate the River
  10. Created the RiverWatch program which monitors the health of the River on a monthly basis
