WEEKDAY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Office Volunteer - We have an opportunity on Wednesdays from 9AM - 3PM to help out in the office. No experience necessary just a desire to help out with answering phones, making calls, and other office work.
Marketing - We are seeking people interested in helping with our marketing and public relations. If you have skills in graphic design, messaging, or communications and have some time to spare, we would like to hear from you. This can be an ongoing or project basis.
River Rescue Team - Hate Trash? Volunteers are needed to help remove smaller trash and debris sites from the river habitat. All supplies provided.
Outreach - Help inform the public about the San Diego River and future River Park. We attend weekday events, farmers markets and more.

INTERNSHIPS


Internships are available across many of our programs. Interns are asked to work a minimum of 10 hours per week, 3 month commitment is requested. These opportunities are a mix of office and field work. School credit available if offered by your learning institution.

Marketing Intern - Are you interested in helping with marketing and event planning? An opening is available for an undergraduate student or experienced individual to assist us with our marketing efforts and planning for the annual River Days event in May 2009. Contact our Executive Director to learn more about this opportunity.
Outreach Intern/Nonprofit Development Intern - Do you want to help let others know about the River Park Foundation and our efforts along the San Diego River? Do you want to help with community outreach activities? An intern is needed to work with our Outreach Associate and volunteer River Ambassadors. Contact Richard Dhu to learn more about this opportunity.
Field Operations Intern - Perfect opportunity for those with a background or interest in environmental field work. Duties include, data collection and processing, site visits and logistics as well as volunteer leadership and field assessments.
Native Habitat Restoration and Management Intern- Assist Program Manager with various functions and events at our Native Plant Reserve and Coastal Wetland habitat area. A great opportunity for those interested in environmental restoration, botany or park management.
RiverWatch Intern - RiverWatch is our program to monitor and document the chemical health of the river water and testing site conditions. The RiverWatch intern will accompany and eventually lead the RiverWatch team and will process the collected data and maintain the RiverWatch and RiverBlitz equipment.
