About the Event
You can help save one of the last Coastal Dune Habitats in San Diego! This special ecological area at the mouth of the San Diego River is home to threatened and endangered plant and animal species. Join us for family-friendly conservation activities; including invasive plant removal, native plant watering, trail maintenance and litter removal. Your work will help to keep this special place beautiful for visitors and maintain the native habitat for birds and other animals. An educational walking tour will be included.
Volunteer activities include: invasive plant removal, watering and care of recent plantings, trail maintenance and litter removal.
All tools and supplies are provided. Community service hours can be verified for those that need them. Be sure to dress in clothes that can get a little dirty and wear closed-toe shoes, no sandals or flip-flops allowed for safety reasons.
