About the Event

As a big thank you to all of the volunteers who give their time to care for the San Diego River, we want to invite you to join us for a free BBQ and hoedown! This fun BBQ will feature food, music, a short program, garden tours, great company, and more! Get to know your fellow volunteers while spending a day relaxing on the River. Space is limited! RSVP early by completing the form below.

About the Event

This will be a BIG BIRTHDAY BASH at the Edgemoor Barn, with refreshments, entertainment and historic exhibits. Come help the Friends of Santee’s River Park create seeds balls to restore the San Diego River.

About the Event

Join us and SDG&E as we work to restore this rare habitat. We will be building and painting access control posts, painting educational signage about endangered and native species, removing invasive plants, and creating a lookout for a world-renowned bird watching area.

About the Event

Bird watchers and nature lovers are invited to a bird walk at the Famosa Slough. It is an easy walk with good views of a variety of birds and salt marsh habitat at this City of San Diego wetlands preserve.

Plus, learn about the Kumeyaay who made their home in and around the Old Town area centuries before Spanish, Mexican, and American settlers arrived.

About the Event

Explore the San Diego River Park Foundation’s newly-acquired wildlife preserve! Shaded by majestic Coast Live Oaks, and home to rainbow trout, bobcats, tree frogs, and many other species of wildlife, our new Boulder Creek property is a peaceful piece of paradise. The property is located on Boulder Creek Road, just north of where Boulder Creek passes over the road. From I-8, exit CA-79/Japatul Valley Rd., then turn north. After 1.3 miles, turn left onto Riverside Dr. After 0.9 miles, turn left onto Viejas Grade Rd. and then take an immediate right onto Oak Grove Rd. After 1.6 miles, turn right onto Boulder Creek Road. Boulder Creek Road will become a well-groomed dirt road. Follow for 10.9 miles to the property. After an Arizona crossing at Boulder Creek, look on the left side of the road for signs at the property entrance.
