About the Event
Discover the rich history of the Santee area with a visit to the Historic Edgemoor Barn! Displays include a walk through time from 1890 – 1940, with a focus on the San Diego River’s influence and a photographic tour of sites along the River. Children can play pretend in a historical classroom and try out the player piano.
After exploring the museum, participants are invited to head to the vegetable garden to learn all about monarch butterflies, a vital pollinator! Kids can help plant milkweed (the favorite snack of the monarch caterpillar) and see caterpillars and their chrysalides up close.
