SUMMARY:The State of the San Diego River: a discussion with the COO
DESCRIPTION:Description: Each of us individually and as a community make choices that affect the San Diego River\, both for better and for worse. Our annual State of the River Report seeks to answer the question: Is the river healthy? Join this discussion for a presentation from The San Diego River Park Foundation’s Chief Operating Officer\, Sarah Hutmacher\, on the most recent report and the indicators we look at when trying to answer this complex question\, with a focus on the lower San Diego River\, from Santee to the Pacific. \nWe will discuss data collection efforts\, challenges and threats our river faces\, and look forward to opportunities to restore the San Diego River. In addition to the presentation\, we invite your questions and curiosity about the San Diego River or the Foundation’s restoration and research programs\, efforts to end homelessness in the riverbed\, and how to get involved! \nWe welcome you to come early at 9 am for optional coffee and refreshments (try Sarah’s homemade baked goods\, while supplies last!) before the presentation begins at 9:30. \nVIEW THE REPORT HERE
