Families rotate through interactive stations\, discovering the hidden stories\, adaptations\, and science that bring our local ecosystems to life.\nUpcoming Family Field Trip: \nLocation: 2310 Camino Del Rio North\, San Diego\, CA 92108\nDate: Saturday\, January 10\, 2026\nArrive: 9:45 am\nProgram Start: 10:00am\nProgram End: 12:00pm\nWATER: River Bugs Are Cool at Grant Park\nRoll up your sleeves—it’s time for some real river science!\nFamilies become community scientists as they:\nCollect live macroinvertebrates (“river bugs”)\nIdentify and sort these fascinating creatures\nDiscover how they reveal the river’s water quality\nExplore how pollution and human activity affect river health\nThis hands-on adventure is equal parts scientific discovery and aquatic fun!\nPunctuality: Please arrive a few minutes before the event. Groups arriving late will not be able to experience the entire program. \nResponsibility: Please be aware of your surroundings\, as the safety and discipline of children are your primary responsibility. Promote listening\, foster excitement\, focus\, curiosity\, and engagement. Encourage observation rather than providing direct answers. \nPlease step away to take phone calls to deter distraction. \nEnvironmental Safety: For safety\, please remain vigilant\, attentive\, and engaged. Natural terrain may present unique challenges.
