Showing Love for the River Trail One Ride at a Time! All Wheels Welcome 🚲🛹🛼♿

The River Trail Action Crew is a wheels-on-the-ground stewardship team, powered by the San Diego River Park Foundation, on a mission to keep our river trail safe, and accessible while pushing for the completion of this epic regional bikeway. Spearheaded by local community members who volunteer to ride and roll the trail, we blend real world action, like trash cleanups, invasive plant removal, and physical trail upgrades, with data-driven tracking to address safety and environmental hazards.

Built on inclusivity, we steward the trail to ensure a vibrant, all-wheels-welcome zone that levels up our infrastructure, respects our unhoused neighbors, and brings massive positive vibes to our community’s environment and daily lives.

Hands-On Action

Our group meets monthly, combining environmental action with light exercise. We focus on river segments of the "Western 9" between OB/Dog Beach and Snapdragon Stadium. Volunteers participate in two core activities:

Roll & Record: Using your bike or other wheels (all wheels welcome!), we ride the trail segment to survey issues and gather critical data for lasting change.
Cleanup & Fixup: We stop at designated areas to perform hands-on cleanup, fix signs, and conduct vital restoration.
