Engaging youth in appreciating and protecting the San Diego River
The San Diego River is teeming with life, ranging from microscopic algae to four-foot tall blue herons! Through our Educational Programs, we invite young scientists to join our educators and experts in exploring and experiencing the San Diego River firsthand.
Field Trips
Our new Natural LAW Education Program immerses students in the ecology, culture, and significance of the San Diego River and its watershed. We offer three specialized field trip options: Land, Air, and Water. Each option allows students to explore unique aspects of our natural environment. These programs align with NGSS Standards, ensuring a comprehensive environmental education experience centered around the San Diego River.
We believe in the transformative power of hands-on, experiential learning where children can explore and discover. All of our field trips are without charge (although donations are always appreciated), which makes these experiences accessible to everyone. Join us in fostering stewardship and shaping future environmental leaders. Explore our program catalog.
