These beautiful, elegant mammals stand taller than all other San Diego native animals. Why are they called Mule deer? How are they different from the White-tailed deer & Santa’s Reindeer? How are they alike? What do they eat? Are they predators or prey? Which have spots & velvet antlers? Are antlers the same as horns? They don’t have red noses, fly through the sky or deliver gifts, but they are marvelous animals nonetheless!
