At the San Diego River Park Foundation, our mission is to take action so the 52-mile-long San Diego River becomes a natural, cultural, and recreational treasure. We believe art plays an important role in that mission by inspiring curiosity, fostering stewardship, and encouraging people to build a deeper relationship with our amazing San Diego River.
On June 27th, 2026 we hosted our inaugural San Diego River Community Art Day, where artists, families, partners, and other community members came together to celebrate the San Diego River and the many ways it inspires creativity. This special event showcased the work and voices of local artists, highlighting diverse perspectives and fostering a deeper connection to the river through art.
We’re excited to share this wonderful e-book showcasing the artists and their beautiful work, as well as highlights from the event.
We hope it inspires you to continue to explore the San Diego River watershed, learn about its rich culture and history, support local artists, and discover the many ways to get creative while spending time nature.
