SD River Community Art Day
Celebrate Art, Nature, and Community at SD River Community Art Day!
Experience a unique opportunity to connect with the San Diego River through the power of art, culture, and community. A diverse group of artists will showcase river-inspired works that uplift creative voices and share unique perspectives on the River and its watershed.
This fun and meaningful event invites community members of all ages to explore the rich culture, history, present-day stories, and significance of the San Diego River watershed, bringing the community together through creativity and connection.

- River-inspired artwork, displays, and sales by members of the San Diego River Artists Alliance, Kumeyaay Tribal Members from Baja, Cahuilla Tribal Members, youth from The Youth Mental Health Art Program, and other local artists.
- Meet-and-greets with artists and opportunities to hear their River stories
- Community picnic with fellow art and nature lovers (bring your own snacks and refreshments)

- Live basket making demonstrations by Kumeyaay Tribal Members from Baja and Cahuilla Tribal Members
- Live art community mural painting – attendees invited to stop in and help paint fun designs on a fence mural

- Leaf rubbing activity with the San Diego River Park Foundation Education Team
11:30 AM – 2:00 PM
- Nature-inspired art activity with Art FORM San Diego
12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
- Kona Ice Truck with shaved ice available for purchase
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
- Live acoustic 70’s music by Point Rock
