ANNUAL SOCK DRIVE 2023

More than 3000 Pairs of Socks Collected!
Our recent survey showed an alarming number of people living in the riverbed. A total of 375 people were found in the area we survey. Sadly, most won't accept housing and other services from public agencies when initially offered.
Care packages can be a way to build a relationship and provide much needed items such as socks and toiletries. Socks are the number one item requested. Over time, trust can build and people will begin to accept housing and other offered services.
We have exceeded our goal for the number of socks collected!
But we can still use some other items to add to the care packages.
ITEMS NEEDED:
- Toothpaste - travel size or larger
- Rain Ponchos - individually wrapped
- Individually Wrapped Bars - soft energy bars rather than crunchy granola bars
Donations can be dropped off at our office M - F 9 - 2PM or give us a call for other arrangements at 619-297-7380.
If you prefer, make a donation, and we will buy items that are needed for the care packages.

Care packages will be given out along with our social service partner PATH San Diego and other groups.
Care Packages will be made on Saturday, January 6th.
Volunteer your time to help distribute the care packages. If you have a few hours each week, you can also join our regular team that identifies where people are living so they can receive assistance, and to make sure they are counted.

NOTE: We partner with the San Diego Humane Society for pet needs. So pet items are not needed to help our pet friends!
